A render is one page rendered; that is the unit every plan counts. Every plan includes the full API, async jobs, polling, the MCP endpoint and all output formats (PDF, PNG, JPEG, WebP, Markdown); signed webhook delivery and higher concurrency start at Pro, and 30-day render retention starts at Scale. Quotas reset each calendar month and never bill overage: an exhausted quota returns 429 until the month turns over.

The fine print, in the open
No per-document overage, ever: when your account's quota is gone the API answers 429 with the reset date, and nothing is billed. Sandbox is free on every format, and sandbox pdf renders carry a watermark: pass "sandbox": true on a convert call and the render does not touch your monthly count. Frequently asked questions
Is there a per-document overage?
No. When the account's quota is exhausted the API answers 429 with the reset date, and nothing is billed. The quota blocks until the month turns over; an invoice never follows a burst.
What counts as one render?
One rendered page. Every plan counts renders, and a render is one page processed per API call, whatever its length or output format.
What does the free plan include?
50 renders a month at $0 with the full API: all output formats, the MCP endpoint, and commercial use. No credit card to start.
How do I move up to Pro?
From the dashboard: the Upgrade button moves the account to Pro ($19 a month, 5,000 renders) and billing runs through Stripe. Until Stripe is live, email us and we will move the tier.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing bills ten months for twelve: Pro is $190 a year and Scale is $690 a year, two months free against the monthly price. The monthly quota is unchanged; only the billing interval moves.
When do quotas reset?
On the first of each calendar month. Usage counts per account across all of its keys, so one account with several keys draws from one pool.
