Convert HTML to PDF from Clay
Add an HTTP API enrichment column that POSTs each row's url with the Bearer header, and a second column replays the header for the bytes.
Wire it up
The shared request is Authorization: Bearer wc_your_key and {"url": "https://example.com/"}. Clay changes the wrapper, not those values or the authenticated download.
- In a Clay table, click Add enrichment and search for HTTP API.
- Set Method to
POSTand URL to your serving origin plus/v1/convert. - Add a header:
Authorizationwith valueAuthorization: Bearer wc_your_key. - Set the JSON Body to
{"url": "https://example.com/"}, interpolating the column that holds the page address where the example's url sits. - Run the column. The receipt comes back into the row, and
downloadis a value you can pass to a second HTTP API column (MethodGET, sameAuthorizationheader) to pull the bytes; the download endpoint is key-scoped, answering 401 without the header.
The full request
Enrichment: HTTP API
Method: POST
URL: https://webcapture.io/v1/convert
Headers: Authorization = Bearer wc_your_key
Body (JSON): {"url": "{{Page URL column}}"}
The column's output is the receipt JSON, so download, bytes, and remaining are row data once the run finishes. The second column's GET carries the same Authorization header, because the download endpoint is key-scoped: the bare url answers 401, and another key's id answers 404, so a download url exported from the table is only useful next to the key that made it.
Limits
The convert endpoint rate limits at 120 requests a minute per client IP; a full window answers 429 with retryAfterSec. The monthly quota is per account: exhausted, the endpoint answers 429 carrying used, limit, resetDate, and upgradeUrl, and the receipt's remaining field counts each render. Clay columns that run a whole table at once spend that budget quickly, so stage large tables rather than firing every row at once; ?wait=false hands back a 202 ticket whose download url a later column can fetch.

Method
Checked 2026-10-05 against Clay: The HTTP API column's fields follow Clay's enrichment editor as described in Clay University (search HTTP API); Clay's docs move, so the university root is the citation and the editor's exact wording is the source of truth.
