Convert HTML to PDF from FlowMattic
Use FlowMattic's API Request action to POST the url with the Bearer header, then a second action replays the header for the bytes.
Wire it up
The shared request is Authorization: Bearer wc_your_key and {"url": "https://example.com/"}. FlowMattic changes the wrapper, not those values or the authenticated download.
- In a workflow, add the API Request action (the Webhook/API family's outgoing HTTP call).
- Set Request URL to your serving origin plus
/v1/convertand Method toPOST. - Add Headers:
Authorizationwith valueAuthorization: Bearer wc_your_key, andContent-Typewith valueapplication/json. - Set the Request Body to
{"url": "https://example.com/"}, with a workflow variable in place of the example's url where the trigger supplies one. - Add a second API Request task: Method
GET, the receipt'sdownloadvalue as the URL, and the sameAuthorizationheader. The download endpoint is key-scoped: without the header it answers 401, and another key's id answers 404.
The full request
Action: API Request
Request URL: https://webcapture.io/v1/convert
Method: POST
Headers: Authorization = Bearer wc_your_key
Content-Type = application/json
Request Body: {"url": "https://example.com/"}
The action's response is the receipt JSON, so download maps into the second API Request task, whose GET carries the same Authorization header and returns the bytes. The download endpoint is key-scoped, so a webhook or email that carries only the url hands over a 401: the key has to travel with the fetch.
Limits
The convert endpoint rate limits at 120 requests a minute per client IP, answering 429 with retryAfterSec when the window is full. The monthly quota is per account: exhausted, the answer is 429 with used, limit, resetDate, and upgradeUrl, and every receipt's remaining field shows the count after that render. A trigger page that renders slowly fits better as ?wait=false: the 202 ticket's download url can ride a later task.
