Convert HTML to PDF from Make

Use Make's HTTP Make a request module with a raw JSON body and the Bearer header, then fetch the download url with the same header.

Wire it up

The shared request is Authorization: Bearer wc_your_key and {"url": "https://example.com/"}. Make changes the wrapper, not those values or the authenticated download.

  1. Add the HTTP > Make a request module.
  2. Set URL to your serving origin plus /v1/convert and Method to POST.
  3. Add a Headers item: name Authorization, value Authorization: Bearer wc_your_key.
  4. Set Body type to raw and Content type to application/json, and put {"url": "https://example.com/"} in Request content.
  5. Run the module once: it parses the JSON receipt, and download becomes a mappable output field.
  6. Follow with HTTP > Get a file, URL set to that download field and the same Authorization header added to its headers. The download endpoint is key-scoped: without the header it answers 401, and another key's id answers 404.

The full request

Module: HTTP > Make a request
URL: https://webcapture.io/v1/convert
Method: POST
Headers: Authorization = Bearer wc_your_key
Body type: raw
Content type: application/json
Request content: {"url": "https://example.com/"}

The receipt's download field maps into any later module, and the fetch needs your key: HTTP > Get a file with the same Authorization header puts the pdf in the scenario's data, while the bare url answers 401 to any module or service that tries it without the header.

Limits

The convert endpoint rate limits at 120 requests a minute per client IP; a full window answers 429 with retryAfterSec. Quota is monthly and per account: exhausted, the endpoint answers 429 carrying used, limit, resetDate, and upgradeUrl, while the receipt's remaining field reports the count after each render. For a page that renders past the module's comfortable wait, send ?wait=false and take the 202 ticket's download url in a later module.
